MBA was founded by Cheri Pendleton in early 2015. Cheri has a Bachelors’ degree in Healthcare Administration and has worked in the industry for 30+ years. Over those years, she has seen everything from peg board systems, to the formation of IPA’s, implementation of EMR’s, to almost full automation.

Cheri has worked in medical practices in San Diego where she was responsible for: hiring, training, payroll, accounts payable, purchasing, budgeting, billing, and day to day management of the office. She is very familiar with the day to day operations of a busy medical practice and the challenges of doing the billing in-house. Cheri also worked for a large billing company in San Diego where some of her many responsibilities were: Director of Operations, billing manager, software support, and consultant for medical practices. Through her years of experience working with different types of practices, Cheri has become very familiar with what it takes to become a success in this industry.

Cheri recognizes it takes a great team to make MBA’s mission possible. Therefore, we strive to hire experienced, knowledgeable staff who add value to the practices that entrust us with their billing.

Our Philosophies

Everybody wants great customer service, and we believe it goes a long way. MBA staff will spend time educating patients on their plan and/or benefits. We strive to ensure that the patient is completely satisfied; even when they have to pay. Our staff will also assist the office with insurance questions and patients specific insurance issues. We know that when a patient is dissatisfied with the interaction with our office, you will often be the first person to here about it. That’s why our staff is dedicated to providing top notch customer service.

We believe in doing the job right the first time! Time and time again, it has been proven that when claims are entered with all the required information, sent in a timely manner, and denials processed upon receipt, it significantly improves the practices cash flow.
